My art-making practice revolves around the literal and metaphorical concept of "strangers," often serving as a launchpad for more meaningful connections with each other. Sometimes, this involves sparking conversations with complete strangers and turning those interactions into zines. Other times, I use photos from a float trip to create a historical dialogue with the flowing rivers of time and the forces that seek to disrupt them for commercial purposes. Additionally, I have zines that simply celebrate the fascinating world of fungi through riso-printed photographs. My relationship with zine-making is concrete; I want to create art that helps bridge the gap between stranger and friend. 1.
