Trravo

Howdy! My name is Sameeka Kalavaguta, and I am a junior Computer Science major at Texas A&M. I am so excited for the opportunity to be a vendor at the Rountree Market! I created Trravo, an online platform that helps middle school, high school, and college students get connected to jobs in their own community. Jobs are posted by busy parents, local businesses, senior citizens, and other community members who need help with things like babysitting, moving, lawn mowing, tutoring, pet sitting, errands, and so much more. Students nearby can then apply and help people right in their own community! I launched Trravo about a year ago in my hometown of Flower Mound, Texas, and have had tremendous success connecting students with local jobs. Now that I am back in College Station for school, I would love to bring what I built to the amazing Bryan-College Station community as well. Trravo is completely free to use, and right now my biggest goal is simply getting more students connected to opportunities and helping community members find reliable local help. At the market, I will solely be there to spread the word about Trravo, talk with local residents, and help anyone who needs help around their home or business post a job directly on the platform. Thank you so much for the opportunity! I am really excited to be part of the market and introduce Trravo to more people in the community.
