Step beyond the ordinary and into Witchwood Bazaar, a curated metaphysical and alternative market filled with handmade art, ritual goods, unusual treasures, intuitive readers, and wonderfully strange small businesses. Created for the witches, artists, mystics, collectors, and curious wanderers of the Pacific Northwest, Witchwood Bazaar celebrates creativity that leans a little darker, wilder, and more unconventional. Shoppers can explore thoughtfully crafted goods, connect directly with local creators, receive readings, and discover something they may not find anywhere else. Hosted inside Capital Mall, the bazaar is free to attend and open to all ages. Whether you arrive with a shopping list or simply follow your curiosity, you are invited to wander the market, meet the people behind the work, and see what calls to you from the woods.

Watercolors are my primary medium, though I’m originally a dollmaker and also work in charcoal/graphite, collage, and linocut. Handmade curiosities from a local artist drawn to the overlooked, the slimy, the molting, the tiny creatures most people walk right past. Slug Adoption Kits feature digitally sculpted, 3D-printed, hand finished little familiars with unsettlingly soulful energy. Each adoption includes a travel burrow, enrichment items, an adoption certificate, and the joy of giving your new companion a name. Whisper Webs are handwoven pieces inspired by nature's quiet beauty. Each web is woven with intention, celebrating organic forms and the small details often overlooked. Alongside these, I offer fine art prints, ACEO cards, and stickers exploring the creatures, textures, and natural cycles that many people tend to ignore. My work isn't the typical jump scare kind of spooky. It finds tenderness in the strange and the living, often carrying an undercurrent of emotional themes that are harder to name, melancholy, isolation, resilience, and the quiet weight of simply making it through another day. To me, that's its own kind of macabre. This is my studio's first year as a market vendor, and our booth has been evolving with every event. We're continually refining the shopping experience while leaning more intentionally into the themes of each market we attend. If accepted, we would happily embrace the haunted atmosphere with additional décor while maintaining our signature cozy woodland aesthetic. Many of our Whisper Webs incorporate ethically sourced bone forms that have been carefully 3D scanned and reproduced, allowing us to celebrate nature's intricate anatomy without using real animal remains.

Is this event free to attend?
Yes! It is free to attend and open to the public.
Does submitting an application guarantee acceptance?
No. Every event is curated. Some niches like Crystal Jewelry, Wax Products tend to get filled rather quickly.
Are vendor fees refundable?
Vendor fees are non-refundable.
Where inside Capital Mall is the event located?
The market will be held right in front of the internal entrance to Macy's. It is between Macy's and Century Theaters.
What size are the vendor spaces?
Each standard vendor space is approximately 8ftx6ft. There are 24 spots available where an 8ft table and black tablecloth is provided. There are 5 spots (including readers and businesses who may need electricity) that can accommodate a 6ft-8ft table but that must be brought.
What kind of vendors will be there?
This market will feature a curated collection of artists, makers, and mystics all providing handmade offerings. We don't allow any AI products, MLMs, or mass produced products. You can always expect offerings that have soul and intention.
Are children welcome?
Of course! This event is open to all ages.
What is provided with the space that I purchase?
Chairs are always available and can be provided. Capital Mall wants everyone to be using a black tablecloth so those will be provided as well. (You can layer anything you want over it. This is just to ensure people can't see under the tables.)
For 24 spots, an 8ft table is also provided.
For 5 spots, (including readers/electricity based vendors) a 6ft table or 8ft table will have to be brought.
What kind of advertising do you do?
A portion of every vendor fee is reinvested directly into paid advertising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram.
We also promote each event through:
✧ Flyer distribution throughout Downtown Olympia and The Evergreen State College
✧ Consistent posts in local Facebook groups leading up to the event
✧ TikTok and Reels content created by The Gilded Creatrix and collaborating creators.
✧ Facebook event co-hosting and collaborative social media posts with Capital Mall
Capital Mall also promotes the event through its established audience, including approximately 18,000 Facebook followers, nearly 7,000 Instagram followers, a 40,000-subscriber email list, and a 17,000-person SMS list. Their email and text promotions are typically sent the day before or the day of the event.
In addition to intentional advertising, Capital Mall receives an average of approximately 25,000 visitors on summer Saturdays, giving vendors access to strong existing foot traffic alongside the audience brought in through our marketing efforts.
Is this event accessible?
Capital Mall is wheelchair accessible and has accessible parking, entrances, and restrooms.
Will there be Tarot/Oracle readings and how much do they cost?
Yes! We will have two readers available for you to see who you may feel drawn to. Readings are $35 for 15 minutes.
Can my display extend outside of my booth?
No. All displays, signs, products, chairs and equipment must remain completely within your assigned booth footprint.
How does the free to enter raffle work?
Every guest receives a raffle card, your task to be entered is to collect a stamp from each vendor you stop to connect with. Once the card is complete, you'll ask a vendor where to turn it into and they will let you know.
There are three winners. The raffle drawing happens at 6pm.
Winners must return to Capital Mall before 8PM to pick up their prize. If you cannot return that evening, pickup can be arranged for a later date near Tumwater Hill.
Are there display-height restrictions?
Yes. The total booth display height may not exceed 6ft, including the height of the provided table.
Can I use Candles or Incense?
No. Open flames, incense, smoke, and burning materials of any kind are prohibited inside Capital Mall.
Can I attach signs or decorations to mall property?
No. Nothing may be taped, nailed, drilled, hung, or otherwise attached to walls, ceilings, railings, or other mall structures.
Do vendors have to contribute to the raffle?
Yes. Each vendor must bring one item valued between $10 and $30 or a voucher for a short complimentary service. Contributions must be labeled with the business name and brought to load-in.
Are vendors required to promote the event?
Yes. Accepted vendors are expected to help share the event. Promotional graphics/Captions/Hashtags will be provided.
Can I apply as both a vendor and a reader?
Vendors wishing to operate a retail booth and offer readings must purchase two separate spaces and have another person available to manage the retail booth.
Are MLMs/AI products accepted?
No. Multi-level marketing companies are not accepted. Products that use AI are not accepted.
Why does SeenMarkets ask for my full address?
SeenMarkets automatically includes an address field, but The Gilded Creatrix Events does not need or verify your home address. You may use a business address, PO box, or even “123 Privacy Lane.” I have talked with the developers behind SeenMarkets about this and it will not be required soon!
What kind of support can I expect day of?
We have volunteers available to help bring in items from your car to the market space. Bottles of water and protein bars are available upon request. I usually go throughout the market and ask vendors if they need these and will get it to you.
I also have a Vendor Emergency Kit that will be available to you.
